Trust and Estate Specialization
The Indiana Trust and Estate Specialization Certification program, administered by the Indiana State Bar Association, recognizes attorneys who have demonstrated substantial experience, advanced knowledge, and a commitment to excellence in trust and estate law. Through rigorous eligibility requirements and ongoing professional standards, the program promotes high-quality legal services and professional development in this complex practice area. It also provides the public and the legal community with a trusted way to identify qualified trust and estate specialists for representation or referral.
In order to be certified, an attorney must:
- have passed an exam in the area of trust and estate law
- meet practice and continuing education requirements
- receive favorable evaluations by other attorneys and judges familiar with the attorney’s work in the area of trust and estate law
